That's what you get...

We all know the old rhyme "Ten Little Monkey's " right...
Ten little monkey's jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Momma called the doctor and the doctor said,
"No more monkey's jumping on the bed!"
Yes, well a little routine we have around here is that on the day mommy cleans the sheets we have a free for all jumping on the bed party. Even Daddy gets in on the fun sometimes, he is the best at singing the song and Cadence loves to sing with him. This last time Cadence taught us some new lyrics (and I think her Daddy had something to do with it if you ask me!)
After Daddy sang out, "Momma called the doctor and the doctor said," Cadence chimed in with, "That's what you get for jumping on the bed!"

That's sooo cute! Man, it's been a while since I've jumped on my bed. Maybe I'll go try it!

Hmmmm, back when Gregory was little we decided that not letting kids jump on the bed was a wives tale. What the heck? He had is own little trampoline right in his bedroom, I envied him, I was a "good" dad. We got used to the thumping, not a problem.

When we moved, we realized that the springs on that bed were totally bullocks'd up. The mattress was so messed up with springs popping up everywhere that we had to toss it, and that was our queen sized guest bed for when people came to stay with us.

We learned yet another lesson from hard knocks, not to let the little monkeys jump on the bed any more...

Of course, with more kids came bunk beds and the problem seemed to resolve itself. But you can bet that the monkeys aren't jumping on my King sized bed...

Well, maybe Isabelle but not Nathaniel, he is already big enough to do damage. Of course, destructo boy seems to do damage just breathing in a room and therefore is not allowed in most rooms in our house without supervision.

Enjoy your little girls while they're little (and not destroying things yet). The fact that they are not little boys is a huge advantage in this respect...
